Brane Early Access 3 Release
Redwood City, Ca May 28, 2007 Welcome to Brane’s latest early access release. Brane's target is extensible, technology-independent on-line and on-premise ebusiness applications built from models rather than code. Brane™ EA1 allowed users to import a variety of source materials and then automatically designed a database, model and facade objects, and default desktop and browser user interfaces all based on Eclipse technology with an Eclipse-based development environment for customizing the results. EA2 added initial support for rules and constraints and model scripting alongside major performance and architectural improvements. EA3 takes Brane a big step forward. EA3 dramatically expands Brane’s rule set so that you can now model custom behavior that goes beyond the create, update, delete, load, save, and search actions that Brane™ provides for every object. You can attach behavior to custom menus/toolbars or have Brane™ invoke it transparently when handling an event. Custom behavior means that you define complex business logic in your model, rather than having to code it. Brane then determines how to implement that logic and in many cases when to execute it to ensure correct results. You can now name and reexecute searches. The Search Results View now supports double-click to open object's default editor. The footprint of Brane™ and of Brane™ applications is smaller by an additional 25% over EA2 due to improvements in the way Brane™ generates code. Application runtime and application generation times are also improved. Interested in knowing more and getting your hands on Brane Platform™?
