Brane™ Platform applications conform closely to industry-wide best practices for enterprise applications and each Brane™ application can consists of:

• Web solutions leveraging the latest within the Internet and Java™ EE specific such as Ajax, JSF, and EJB 3.0.

Applications built with the Brane™ Platform can be based on several open source and/or commercial components:

• Java™ EE application servers such as JBoss and Oracle AS.
• RDBMS such as MySQL and Oracle
• Eclipse components, including JFace, EMF, EMFT, OSGi, and many more.

Brane's development environment and runtime environment also consist of several Eclipse plug-ins. We deliberately chose this approach to ensure that the Brane™ Platform and Brane™ applications were both extensible/pluggable to ensure that no customer would ever have wait for the "next release" but could instead solve their own problems when circumstances warrant.
